I'm probably your classic Beluga Grad - according to my mom, I used to sing "Baby Beluga" in the car every morning on the way to nursery school, and when my little sisters were born, the first songs they learned were "Wheels on the Bus," "Corner Grocery Store," and "Apples and Bananas." Read more…

I grew up with your music and now my three wonderful children love you best. (even more than the beatles, and that is a HUGE compliment) You have provided such wonderful, soothing and enriching music to me and my family. You could never even come close to knowing the impact your music and voice has on children and parents alike. Thank you very much, especially for bananaphone.

I grew up loving Raffi and watching a concert of his we had on tape at least 3 times a week. I am about to turn 19 and still love his music. I have been known to randomly start singing Baby Beluga around my house, it's still one of my favorites along with Down By the Bay. I just want to thank Raffi for all of the wonderful music he gave me as a child, you have no idea how much it meant to me as a child and still does today ...

Being a Beluga grad and about to graduate college, I look back on my childhood and remember things I thought I forgot, one of these things being Raffi. Apples and Bananas is by far the greatest song of all time. I can remember long car trips with Raffi playing over and over again. You are a wonderful man Raffi.

I am a beluga grad! I grew up with Raffi during my childhood and have gone on to become a journalist focusing on humanity in everyday. The songs Raffi sang are still remembered by my mother and I. I was excited to see Raffi in the Yarmouth Clam Festival parade a few years ago - it made my whole trip!
Thank you for working toward peace for all.

I would love to say that when I was 7 years old, I grew up listening to your music. I owned Baby Beluga and One Light One Heart on cassette, I have literally worn those cassettes out. My favorite song that I, even well into my 20's, still love is All I Really Need. I even did it in a pageant back when I was a young lad. Read more…

Raffi's music was the melody of my childhood and this same playful tune now fills our home as our children sing into their Banana Phones all day and are rocked to sleep to the chorus of Baby Beluga. I only recently came upon Raffi's Child Honouring literature and am inspired by the hopeful future that he envisions. Read more…

I am a 21 year-old beluga grad who attends Auburn University. Raffi has meant so much to me in my life. His music has helped my development into the man I am today. His music helps me live, love, and treat people better. I have two entire albums on my iPod still and I wish he would play a show in my area.

I am a beluga grad myself...Raffi was a huge part of my life in the 80's as a young child. I am bringing his music into my children's lives now too. It's just the best! As for child honouring, you're right, it starts with the children! Family is so important. Childhood should be the safest, most wonderful and fun place to be! This is where society truely begins.

Growing up in the 1970's in rural Ontario I can remember Raffi's music always playing. I used to watch and listen to Raffi when I was younger. We were looking through boxes and I found my old video of Raffi. I stuck it in the VCR and my daughter just loves it. So far he has gone through 2 generations. I just wanted to let you know that I was so excited to see the tape to put in for my daughter. Keep it going!

Thank you Raffi and to all the authors who contributed to Child Honouring, it is a truly wonderful book and I believe should be made part of every student teacher's reading list and part of the highschool program (for those future parents) in Canada and beyond. For me personally, reading Child Honouring has changed my perspective and how I relate to my children.

As a beluga dad, I knew then that Raffi's goal was to transform the world through his music. It is not surprising then that Raffi took the next step and provided the transformation himself with his Child Honouring philosophy. While many people have attempted to create a similar transformation, I believe that Child Honouring will ultimately be the most successful. It speaks a language that everyone can understand, and will inevitably win the largest following.

I am an Instructor for TDSB and I am really admire Mr Raffi and his music. My son grew up with his music and now that I am coming back to school I believe the kids and parents will be inspirite for the music and the words they contain. My favourite is Will I ever grow up??? The song is great and now that my son is almost 11, I recall his baby years.
God Bless you.

My husband and I are now expecting our first child, and are busy collecting all of Raffi's CD's and books for this one of the newest members of our human family. Hi, I am a Beluga Grad! I've still got a couple of Raffi's records (Baby Beluga and his Christmas album) to remind me of the time I listened to them incessantly in the early 80's when I was tiny. I want to say how cool I think it is that Raffi is making an effort to evolve and grow and challenge his audience to look around themselves and improve the world. I think a challenge of this nature is just what the BG's need.

I am a beluga mom and also a grade one teacher. I am thrilled about Child Honouring. Raffi is a world leader in promoting the rights for children around the world. Not only does he care about the earth as our planet, but also for the spiritual, mental, physical and emotional aspects of the people, especially the children. His positive attitude and gentle manner go a long way in changing the world. It is exciting to have such a human being working to make a difference. I am spreading the news in my corner of the world by having a Roots and Shoots club as well as teaching the children in my class about respecting each other and the earth they live on.
