Pediatric Society Award
The Canadian Pediatric Society named Raffi Cavoukian their 2010 Honorary Member, an award Raffi said he felt honoured to receive. This honour is for the Child Honouring work Raffi has engaged in recent years, and now with the Centre for Child Honouring. Past recipients include Senator Landon Pearson and The Honourable Steven L. Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.


Plea and Proclamation Update
One month into the Centre?s ?Sign the Plea? campaign (Children & Nonviolence Initiative), we have gained over 600 Plea signatories from around the world, and over 110 faith leaders have signed the Proclamation, from these 22 countries: France, Canada, Slovenia, UK, USA, India, Brazil, Austria, Indonesia, New Zealand, Iran, Lebanon, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Ecuador, Ghana, Japan, Italy Panama, Denmark, Rwanda. They represent the following religions or spiritual traditions: Aboriginal, Bahai, Buddhism, Christianity, Hindu, Judaism, Shinto, Zen, and Yoga.
Design for Change Contest

Religious Summit 2010
Raffi is just back from Winnipeg as an observer at the 2010 World Religions Summit hosted by the University of Winnipeg. Raffi on the Radio
Raffi just did a radio interview with Dr. Jon (a New York psychologist) on Salt Spring's own CFSI 107.9 FM. They talked about Child Honouring, the Covenant & Principles and our Sign the Plea campaign. Turtle Lodge Roundtable
The Turtle Lodge, north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, held the 1st International Roundtable Supporting Ancient Indigenous Knowledge, co-hosted by David Courchene (Anishnabe Nation) and US Congressman Dennis Kucinich, May 14-17, 2010.
