Raffi Renaissance Update
The Raffi Renaissance campaign began in June 2006 with anthology & CD launches in Pittsburgh's Point Park University with co-editor Sharna Olfman and a number of book contributors, and at the University of Victoria with former Dean of Education Budd Hall and the Kids Power Chorus.

Raffi opens the evening for David Korten’s book launch
At David Korten’s book launch in Oakland, CA for The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community, Raffi opened the evening with the title song of his new CD Resisto Dancing, much to Korten’s delight. Korten is one of the eminent contributors to the anthology Child Honouring: How to Turn This World Around.
Beluga Kiss
Raffi re-lives a magical kiss 27 years later ... with Kavna the beluga whale at the Vancouver Aquarium April 28, 2006. Raffi also met with Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau.

Fred Rogers Integrity Award
Raffi is the recipient of this year’s Fred Rogers Integrity Award presented in Boston on October 26th, 2006.
The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood each year selects a public figure whose efforts to protect children from harmful marketing best embody Mr. Rogers’ long-standing commitment to nurturing the health and well-being of America’s children.
