Raffi at Yale University

On November 30, 2007, Raffi visited Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut for two events. The first was an afternoon "Master's Tea" at Silliman College, where 200 undergraduates listened to Raffi's talk about the evolution of his work and joined in a Q & A on his Child Honouring philosophy.

In the evening, 300 students jammed Sudler Hall to hear Raffi's inpirational presentation which included his global cooling song, "Cool It," along with new music from his recent CD, Resisto Dancing. The night was a big hit, and "Beluga Grads" stayed to talk with Raffi about their own childhood experiences with his music, and about how they might now help spread his Child Honouring message.

Third year student Roshan Sethi wrote after the events:

"Myself and many of the Beluga Grads in the audience were inspired by his new songs and work and especially the philosophy of Child Honouring. I have never seen a Master's Tea guest hugged by so many of the attendees. Students leaving the event looked happy and refreshed and moved. That speaks a lot to Raffi's ability to personally connect with his audience. We are all concerned about the dangerous direction the world is heading in but hearing a revered figure from our childhood speak about it is moving on a different and more influential level.

"Please let me know how Yale students can serve as allies in spreading the 'compassion revolution' and Child Honouring. I really think that college campuses are the best way to spread Raffi's philosophy, especially since many of the students are so engaged with the issues."
